The ATV tour in the Sacred Valley can start in the morning (7:00 am) or in the afternoon (1pm). We meet at the Plaza de Armas of Cusco (place coordinated one day before the tour) and take a private bus to our base in Cruzpata (30 minutes).
After a brief introduction to the use of ATVs and safety issues, we will practice for 10 minutes before the start our tour. The tour lasts 1.5 to 2 hour. It is all off-road. There will be stops at viewpoints and special places, where you can have an insight of peoples daily life. Our last stop with our ATV is the archaeological site of Moray, known as the Inca Agricultural Experimentation Center. We are not allowed to the enter the salt mines with the ATVs, so a bus will take you there after the tour. Among the highest peaks, you will be able to distinguish the Waqaqwillka (5,682m), known as the Verónica, as well as El Chicón (5530m), known as the guardian of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Next to these two, you will also have a panoramic view of the whole Vilcanota mountain range. After the visit to the Maras Salt Mines, we will return to our base where we will take our bus back to Cusco.
