The tour begins with the pick up from the hotel. The time of the pick up will depend on the proximity of the hostel to the historic center of Cusco. The first place to visit will be the famous Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun) in which we can appreciate the mix between Inca constructions (with their walls of perfectly polished stone) and Spanish architecture (the church built on the Inca walls). After that, we will leave the city and head towards Sacsayhuamán. Here, we will be able to appreciate huge stone blocks weighing up to 40 tons perfectly placed one on top of the other. Our guide will explain the importance of this place in between the Inca Empire and the Spanish Empire. We will continue towards the Qenqo sector (labyrinth). In this labyrinth, the most important place will be an ancient ceremonial table. This place was probably the last home and resting place of Pachacutec. We will continue on our tourist bus to Puca Pucara (red fortress) which was an important control center for people who wanted to enter the city of Cusco in Inca times. All travelers had to have purified themselves in body and soul before entering the sacred city of Cusco. They could do this purification in Tambomachay, the last place that we will visit. The tour ends near the main square of Cusco.
